Metro Business

"Posh popcorn producers Joe & Seph’s have turned the simple snack into a best-selling gourmet feast.

Gin and tonic, Madras curry and lemon poppyseed are among more than 25 exotic flavours which make the traditional salt or sweet choices seem like old hat.

The two-year-old business, which started life in the London kitchen belonging to the popcorn-loving Sopher family, is going from strength to strength with orders from stores
including Waitrose, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and John Lewis.

They are also tapping in to the travel market with bags of popcorn stocked on Thompson, Ryanair and American Airlines, as well as in British Airways lounges across the country."

"Two new flavours of Joe & Seph’s gourmet popcorn are being added to the range in time for summer. Cheddar Cheese & Smoked Paprika and Peanut Satay will join their other Great Taste award winning flavours such as Caramel Macchiato with Scotch Whisky and Caramel, Honey & Hazelnuts.

Adam Sopher, co-founder and director at Joe & Seph’s, told
Speciality Food, “We’re stocked in 300 independent stores all over the UK and all the top food halls internationally. We have eight Great Taste Gold awards and we’re hoping
one of our products will get a three star Gold award this year."
